Be Healthy from Within


We live in an age where women (and men) are way too preoccupied with the outward appearances of beauty and good health.

It has become the norm to expend huge sums on cosmetic care but beauty, good health and wellness comes not from without but from within. In fact dermatologists will assure you that the appearance of your hair, skin and nails is an indicator of how well you are on the inside! A lot depends on your diet.

If you eat a balanced diet chances are you will feel great and your hair, skin and nails would be healthy and look amazing. Here is a short video of how to cure nail fungus – you’ll see the importance of watching what you eat!

There is an ongoing debate over whether or not taking multivitamins and other supplements are actually beneficial. My personal thought regarding that is that I am never sure what exactly goes into a ‘multivitamin’ and since my doctor seems to be leery of those as well, I prefer to eat my fruits and vegetables and avoid the fried and processed foods as much as possible.

Have you noticed that each time you get your annual checkup your doctor gives you a list of do’s and dont’s? I actually look forward to those lists because it acts as my “healthometre”

Here is my list of ‘Dos’ for you:

  • Do include adequate amounts of water, fresh fruit and vegetables in your daily diet.
  • Do get at least 20 minutes of brisk exercise each day.
  • Do get at least 6-8 hours of sleep each night
  • and at least once per week DO get a massage! According to the Mayo clinic a variety of health benefits are derived from massages! and at least once per week DO get a massage!
